White smoke from exhaust?
I was on my way to work this morning and did a WOT pull in 1st and 2nd gear then let off the throttle. Car felt fine and didn't notice anything wrong. When I got to the shop the fedex guy came in with a package and told me he saw me on the road this morning and saw a puff of white/grey smoke come out of my exhaust So now I'm a little worried that I might have an issue. Also the past couple months when I start her up in the mornings I get a little white smoke and idle and smell a sweet maple syrup type smell every once in a while. I haven't noticed a loss of power or anything, she runs fine and makes peak boost like normal. Any ideas on what could be wrong?
Thanks

To my understanding the white smoke when you barely turn it on in the morning its normal. After the car warms up it should stop. Also when you gun it I think its normal that the exhaust would let out minimal amount of smoke. On the other hand its not normal when its idle and you have lots of white smoke coming out.

Oil level is fine, I know I'm not burning oil.
I just remembered that twice this summer my coolant levels were super low, almost empty. I did a flush and it's been fine ever since. I check my coolant level every time I fill up with fuel and it's at the normal level.

Fill the overflow jug to the full line with the engine warm then do a 3rd gear pull and see if it smokes white from the exhaust. Then stop and see if the coolant level went up in the overflow jug. If it did and/or their is white smoke from the exhaust then you have a blown headgasket.
If its all thats is ok and the coolant level stays full over a few weeks your good.
