Engine setup.

Acl race bearings .20 on mains and rods. Clearance is 00.15"
Manley h rods.

Still running balance shafts and oil jets.
New oil pump

Dual valve springs and retainers.

Did you pack the oil pump with vaseline or grease when assembling the engine ?

5 seconds probably isnt enough time. I would let it idle longer. If its a fresh build it should have assembly lube so running dry wouldnt be a worry for me. If your extra worried pull timing belt off and prime oil pump with a drill or by a pressurized oil can and feed oil in through cylinder head turbo oil feedline.

I did but not vaseline. I used assembly lube.

IIRC, the last engine I saw oil shooting out the the uncovered head in just a few seconds. I'll say if you don't have good pressure in 10 seconds there is something wrong.

So I did this and is wasn't showing oil at the head.
Removed oil pan to check oil pick and found a crack on it.
Called my local Mitsubishi dealership and got a new pick up and gasket.
Installed the new pick up and gasket and now I'm getting 60psi when cold and drops to 18psi when normal temp.
Is this normal pressure?

So yesterday I took the car for a test drive and oil pressure doesn't go above 18psi and oil light starts to flicker.
Any ideas?
