i want to set my SAFC to shoot flames

does anybody know good settings to make my evo shoot fireballs? my car is modestly modified and mostly for show. the perfect addition to my car would be the ability to shoot fireballs out my buschur racing 3in' exhaust. can anyone help me out with some SAFC settings that would accomplish this?

Add +50% all the way, flames = rich, you can also install a spark plug in the rear pipe and hit the switch.

Talking

Don't forget to get a test pipe (aka decat) installed. Then use SAFC setting that umaimi80 recommended.

I know I need to put the settings at +50% across the board my question is do I do this on both the high and low and can this harm my car. I am not looking to drive the car like this just at a stand still throw some flames out...I have the Buschar 3" back with cat delete.

Are you serious? You would rather see flames than have your car run right Just richen up you mixture and run a test pipe, and soon you will be frontlining for F&F III

Two ways: (if you are serious)
One: Put a straight-pipe in, no catalytic convertor, install a spark plug in exhaust tip
Two: Bang off your rev limiter with slightly rich settings

I assume no liability for suggesting either...
The first one is your best choice for show, its not hard (switch, wires, sparkplug)

Wink

helicoptersteve,

I hope you get the idea on how to make your tailpipe shoot flame.

As long as you running rich (more fuel) and decat (test pipe), you will get flame shooting. If not, try this device http://www.carshopinc.com/product_in..._id/9204/FLAME or http://www.bee-r.com/main/parts/revlimi/index.htm

As for 50% setting on SAFC, it is a joke.

Yes, you can set +50% on high and low setting. Your car will be running 50% richer all the time.

p.s. shooting flame technics off your exhaust might not be safe for the car. It will destroy your exhaust system and harm the engine.

AutoLoc sells a "flame thrower" kit

http://www.autoloc.com/detail.lasso?itemid=flame

I'm not sure if it will work on an evo. It sounds like it momentarily shuts the ignition off to create more unburt fuel while at the same time firing a spark plug in the muffler tip
