smart move or dumb move: buying SAE90 #3775610 Diaqueen oil to replace redline 75w90

Ok since everyone is talking about redline 75w90 and x-fer cases exploding because of it, another guy posted up about getting Diaqueen LSD Gear oil #3775610 from the dealer ship....I went today and bought some as well after work. i will be replacing the Redline 75w90 that is in the transfer case and rear diff with this new fluid. Smart idea or was it a bad one, or should I have just not worried about it?? Looks exactly like the big metal jug in the pic

The front diff is in the transfer case. You can't go wrong following factory specs.

Tried to get some from the local dealership and they told me they don't sell it by the quart.... so I said "well, I don't need a 54 gal drum" and went looking for redline! I didn't realize it comes by the gallon!

How much was the 1 Gal jug?

Reason I am going with redline for the tranny is the $11.00 a quart price of the mitsubishi tranny fluid.

Thanks,

Keith

Um, LSD fluid is for diff's yes, thats what your rear and transfer case are. And also, this 4 liter jug cost 46$ and tax.

Eric it's really easy if you use a hand pump. Even with a tube running up and above the engine into the fill hole in the tranny, it's not bad at all.

I can actually do this faster than an oil change (stupid oil filter always takes forever to get off).

yeah, its also easy if you can get to know someone that works at an oil change bay, and then you can just walk under your car in the bay. Thats how I do mine.

Only the RS Evo has limited slip in the front, not a regular Evo.
