Gas Pedal spacer
I wear pretty clunky shoes to work everyday, well just about everywhere, and it makes it hard to heel-to-toe. I've decided it is because the Gas pedal is a good 2 to 3 inches lower than the brake pedal.
I was thinking it might be possible to raise the gas pedal a little bit to make them more even so I can heel-to-toe a little easier in my clunky shoes.
Has anyone else done this? I know people have done it on Camero's and other cars. So why not the Evo?
If I can't find a how-to out there, I'll write one up. It shouldn't be too hard, and I'll make it fully reversible.
Is anyone interested?

I thought about something like this before. The only problem is that if you track alot, or like to late-brake, your gas pedal would be too high, since the brake pedal would be pushed down farther than with normal street driving. I find that I can heel-toe best when I'm braking hard because that gap disappears.

I usually (brake, lift, blip throttle, downshift, brake, lift, blip throttle, downshift, brake, come to a stop) I hate having to lift off of the brake to blip the throttle, I'd rather be able to brake steadily, but its so hard to roll my ankle in Doc Martin like shoes.
I do have a pair of Adidas shoes I wear when I'm just out playing around, and plan to get a pair of Oakley 1320's.

Yes its at the right height for heavy braking, but I generally don't 'heavy brake' in town. So it would be beneficial (at least for me) to have th gas pedal up maybe an inch or so.
thanks for the input

You can modify the existing gas pedal for better heel-and-toeing by twisting it so that the lower end of the pedal points toward the brake pedal at an angle like this (these repersent the clutch, brake and gas pedals in order): I I I
RRE modified mine. I don't know exactly how you accomplish it. Don't consider this brief explantion to be any kind of instructions.
