i had to fill up w/ 87 octane

i had to fill up w/ 87 octane

well, with the gas shortage here. i had no choice but to fill up with 87 octane. only type of gas left around town. i am gonna stay out of boost and drive like a grandma.

There was a guy on evom who did that on accident and it messed his block up and pistons.

Keep her under like 5500 and you should be fine

Also you could look @ Xylene and the like if you have to run 87 for any period of time..

well techinically i think the manual says u can put it for emergencies, but just dont boost to be safe

in my fuel cap it says 95+++ which i think they mean 95ron for you it would be 91mon but just go to a paint shop and buy 3 gallons of toluene and you will be fine

i had a 1/4 tank left of 93. i only put about half a tank of 87. my car right now has a total of 3/4 full, mix of 87 and 93. so i dont have to make room for 93, when it becomes available. i have nothing planned for the next few days anyways. hopefully they will have some 93 by then

as I recall he didn't know. He lived in Jersey, so they only have Full Service and the attendent accidentally put 87 in.

i should be okay as long as i dont boost. my boost gague needle will not pass zero until i get some better gas

If it's available, you could try purchasing some racing gas and mix it in...?

put the 87 in or 89 whatever it was and go to your local auto center and buy some octane booster. In fact buy alot of it just put it in everytime you fill up and you should be ok
