Has anyone self-painted there door handles. I believe they are made of plastic but I planned on doing the same prodedure that is used in painting the rims in the How-To section. If anyone has any pointers please post them here and maybe I'll do a write up on mine. I have alot of chips in my plastic set and I want to paint it black along with my rims.

and what color do you plan on painting them? on my evo the door handles are the same color.

im making it black since I plan on accenting my car.

phenix fyah -- it would probably look alot ****ing better than chipped and scratched so shut the **** up unless you have information to give.

need some more info on what you plan to do to them? Like a matte or flat finish?? or a BC CC black(shiny)??? Personally I think it would look kinda out of place with black door handles on a yellow car and let me exlpain why. There are not any breaking lines around the door handles. Painting them would not be a huge issue but if you deciede to Remove them from the door(not all the way just enough off the door you can mask around them) AND DO NOT USE A RATTLE CAN TO SPRAY THEM or you are not going to like it. IF you are going with a matte finish then rattle on rattle on, but the longevity of the rattle can will prolly be less then a year. IMHO the black and yellow theme will make your car resemble a bumble bee, but if you must do it I think that carbon fiber would look better. I have never seen CF doorhandles tho.

If you can find RS door handles it will keep you from having to paint them black. I've been looking for some, but no luck.
