$5 o2 non fouler problem

i put on my invidia tbe on about 3 weeks ago with no cat and no resonator and used the $5 o2 fix methed with the non foulers.did everything right and everything seems to be fine and just today i got a CEL.some say that the non foulers only work on about half of the cars tried but i do a lot of driving.sometimes like 130 miles a day.i just dont understand would it really take that long to come on?

did you use the short or long o2 non foulers? i used one long one on my g/f's evo and it worked hasn't turned back on. did you check what CEL code came on? it might be something else or the fouler might have come loose

Try using two if you're not already. One didn't work for me but two did.

after putting them on, should you reset your ecu? and if so, if you have a flash, would it erase it?

You would need to reset the ecu to get rid of the code (in most cases). No it will not erase your flash.

It depends which testpipe you get. Some come with a bung already welded to it. (ultimate racing) So if you get one of those you will be fine

find out what code was thrown, then reset your ECU And see if it comes back. if it doesnt you're fine and it might have been a quirk. if it does then i'd try checking your fittings, make sure they're tight and if worse comes to worse buy a longer fouler.

Use two foulers, the O2 sensor needs to be in the exhaust just to get heated, not to actually smell the fumes when you are running catless.

He might have used the short height anti-foulers. Try getting the longer anti-foulers and installing them. I haven't had a problem with mine and I've put on 5k.

The problem is the hole in the anti-fouler is too big. The sensor should just barely fit through the hole. I the correct drill bit size is 31/64 and the hole has to be perfectly centered.
