no 6th gear.......

no 6th gear.......
so i was running my car a little hard tonight. 1-5 goes into gear smoothly. 6th wont go at all. and reverse works fine. ive searched already and found only shifter bushing and check shift linkage.....any other ideas. tranny shot? maybe

lol...u do know you're posting at 3am in the morning? Not too many people are online at this time...
running your car hard...did you miss 6th badly during a highspeed top end run? You may have damaged your shift gate...i'm sure there is more to your story than "running my car hard tonight"

ok ok i went to the "track" and did some top end runs...but i never missed 6th or any gear for that matter. i stopped on a side street and turned around. put it in reverse and the back in first and drove away to about 35mph. stopped and put the clutch in and went through the gears and 6th got locked out. i was like no way. so i went home and went up on the highway and sure enough no 6th. i cant even cram it into it. it wont go at all

my car is doing the same thing. I can go in all gears beside 6th. Whats going on is my tranny f**ked im pretty worried because im modded so no warranty. how can i fix this

hrmm...
So....your saying your on their 3rd evo. And your tried to top end it. Spun out. Threw it in reverse like gone in 60 seconds. Spin forward. Threw it in 1st and all this happened at 35mph.... that's some awsome driving!

Also, don't be scared to go to the dealer even if your car is modded lightly, if you're talking big turbo, coilovers, TBE, intake, BOV, CAMS, piggy back/standalone, Injectors, Manifold...then you might was well save your gas

or because maybe i had an 03 and wanted an MR so i bought an 06 white mr and then traded it on a silver one....maybe so right? think before you say stupid sh it. im here for an answer not your stupid input
