Ok My tranny job I did was finished perfectly and everything worked fine. Gears felt great, car pulled like a champ, and I couldn't have been happier. I havent raced it, I havent beat it, nor have I even banged the gears around........

My concerns:

First I searched and found nothing.

When I am just sitting there in the garage with the car running and the clutch pedal in, it sounds like something is dragging, or I have sand in the tranny. When I let it go it stops. Sometime it won't go into 1st or 3rd. Also when I had it out as I was slowing down the car would jerk hard twice with it in gear. Or if I was rolling along 20+ MPH and tried putting it in the appropriate gear it woud jerk, or grind, or not go in at all......... ......Anyone have any ideas on this matter?

And please I don't want to hear " You should have let someone else do it" because I dont believe that....someone has to learn sometime how to fix cars........

Sounds like it could be the clutch throw out bearing.

For the record, I noticed the sound on my VIII and it was brand new. I can also here the TOB on my IX but not quite as loud.

I am going to check the fluid...i really hope i dont have to rip this thing out again I will be pissed
