P0122 (tps) issue
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could help me out? I've recently changed my clutch 100 mi ago. My cousin mech at BMW for 10 years said it's easier to drop the motor since I don't have a trans jack that it would be easier to get it back in so we did. At that point we had to take off the whole harness and instead of unclipping the injectors and tps we just unscrewed the tps and took the injectors out with the whole rail. We finished everything got everything back in and it threw a Cel light for P0122 (tps low voltage). I was wondering if the comp will adjust the tps after some sort of mileage or I need a new one? I checked the code with ob2 scanner at idle checked the freeze frame and the tps% is 0.00 :-/

If you removed the TPS you will have to re-calibrate it when you install it.
All you have to do is losen the two screws slightly, so you can rotate it left and right slightly. Take a volt meter and measure the voltage at the middle wire of the sensor with key on engine off. Idle (no throttle) should read 0.50v and full throttle should read 5.00 volts, or as close as you can get it. Then tighten the screws and check to make sure you are still getting the same readings.
After that disconnect the battery to erase the code and it shouldn't come back.
