Unhappy helpppppp!

alright i picked up a 03 evo about a year ago the 1st owner put an ams front mount, b.o.v., new clutch.... anywho lately (its kinda hard to discribe) from a dead stop it doesnt seem to give any boost unless my foot is too the floor... like getting close to 7,000 rpm to get it to barely move... and i try to watch my boost guage and it barely gets to 0 psi... and while im moving if i "gun it" itll get up to about 7,000 rpm then drop again and finally get boost.... any ideas????

You said it has an aftermarket BOV? That may be an issue. Also things like boost leaks and/or not being tuned can contribute. Start off with simple things. Put an oem IX DV valve, make sure its mounted correctly then do a boost leak test. Report back with your findings.

Doubt its the turbo, gotta be a leak.. Do as TommiM says and you'll probably find your problem.
