remove/replace coldside of turbo?

Is it possible to take off the exhaust side of tje turbo and replace it with a different one, without damaging the turbo?
I ask this because the studs from the turbo to the exhaust manifold on my replacement turbo are stripped and been cut off.
So figured I'd be able to take my old exhaust side and swap the two.

Should be able to if you have the same size/model. I havent looked at the smaller frame turbos for disassembly but i know you can with larger ones.

Exhaust is the hotside of the turbo, not the coldside. PB blaster would be the best way to get them out if the turbo is off the car

soak the bolts in PB Blaster. It works really well, I used it to change out my o2 housing and remove the manifold nuts

shoulda known, wasnt thinking right. but im assuming its still alright to change the hotside as long as i dont hit the fins on anything.

any parts store/ wal mart will have it. white can, looks kinda old school unless theyve updated it. let it sit and SOAK through. you can go ahead and swap it, just be careful, the fins sit close and you dont want to bend them.
