Ac compressor not engaging
Ok so about a month ago I had my high side line break accidentally and I just replaced it and had the system vacumed and recharged. Now the compressor doesn't engage. I I checked it for power at the clutch and it has power. What could it be? I only have 40 k on this thing it shouldnt be bad. At this point I'm assuming it is though unless anyone has a suggestion.

If the clutch has power check the ground. If the ground is okay the clutch is bad. The thing is, A/C compressor clutches hardly ever go bad. I think it has to be electrical.

Are you sure you don't have any leaks from the install? I can't see the compressor going bad by just what you mentioned.
You have to pull a good vacuum and make sure there are no leaks.
They have a pressure sensor and if it is too low the compressor will not come on.

yes there are no leaks we checked that after we vacumed the system down. i even bypassed the clutch switch and ran power to it directly. guess the clutch just went bad. or more likely shorted out internally somehow. is this common on our cars?

This is a real problem as I've replaced 3 compressors now all with same problem. Clutch bad. Even bench testing it proved it. Bypassing pres switch and direct current. Nothing. My most recent one lasted 3 months. Took it to the dyno. Ac off of course and dead right after. Ugh does anyone have any idea? Is it harmonics? Is it heat? Wtf is killing these?
