GSP intercooler question.
Ok this may sound like a dumb question but I just can't find the correct answer. I recently got a Godspeed intercooler for my evo 8. The core measures 17x11.5x3" with 2.5" inlet and outlet. The shop I got it from said it would be fine but my goal is 500awhp. So, is this any better than my stock one or should I send back and get a diff one?

this has been discussed at length...some say its marginally better than stock, some say its worse. it your goal is 500awhp look elsewhere, the heatsoak is going to kill you.

personally? you will never find such a cheap piece of crap on my car, but to each their own. since price is obviously a concern, look in the for sale section for used ams/cbrd/ets/buschur/etc intercoolers.

See price actually wasn't, it's just what I was told. I too believe in u get what u pay for. And i also just found out that that's the wrong intercooler all together. I'm going to get either a buschur or have one custom made. Thanks for the info.

I paid 260 for it.. I am a fabricator so I would have made my own brackets and piping. But I just decided today that I'm going to get a buschur one. I don't want any cheap parts on my car. Don't have any and don't plan on it starting now. Also I do all my own work so again thanks for the helpfull info.
