steering wheel mod?
Anyone have a problem like me?
I'm 6.1" and have long legs but when driving a bit harder I like having steering wheel closer to my body.
However Evo steering wheel only tilts but doesn't go out which somewhat bothers me because then my legs (knees) are too close to the steering column and pedals automatically get too close as well so it's harder to heel-toe and in general it's not as comfortable.
Did anyone try modding the steering wheel "rally style" so your legs are almost strait (not fully strait tho) with plenty of space for your knees and steering wheel is closer so you can firmly grip it?

Perhaps Momo makes spacers. It might be tricky because of the airbag. If you're willing to ditch the airbag I'm sure you can find something to give you the fitment you need.
I understand that a telescoping wheel might be considered a luxury item but it would go a long ways to helping a driver find the perfect seating position. Fortunately I don't have long legs in relation to my torso and arms so I have little issue with the wheel position.
Good luck!

On the Sparco/Apexi EVO, we had Rhys Millen Racing make a custom steering wheel hub. We have installed our Sparco steering wheel with one of our quick release hubs. This has given us a perfect steering wheel position, as described above.
Please note, this is not legal for street use as it removes the stock steering wheel.
For more info, please check out the latest issue of Import Tuner Magazine, which has the Sparco Apexi EVO on the cover and several photos of the steering wheel and hub.
You can contact Rhys Millen Racing at www.rmrproducts.com
