Smell burning after trans fluid change....
Hi everyone, I'm new here so not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I got a problem with my car. I took it to the shop for a transmission oil change and now my car is smoking from the back of the engine. I thought that it might just be spilled oil burning off, but It doesn't smell like oil burn, it smell more like rubber burning. If I leave car running on idle than smoke dissipate and no more smell. If I drive it a mile or so and stop then I can see smoke coming from back of the engine. is it possible my transmission is burning?. Car temp is ok and still runs normal like before. I'm concern because the smell is more of a rubber smell than a oil burn. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
