What air filter do you guys recommend?

On my Evo 8 I have an aluminum intake with the Maf and a 4.5inch inlet cheap cone filter(see pic) I have been looking at K&n air filters but don't know which ones to get. What are you guys using?

Take a look at the AMSoil dry filters before immediately deciding on a K&N brand filter.

This topic has been beat to death

Amsoil filter all the way

Knn is not something I would run because while it flows well, they sacrificed a lot of its filtering capability.

Perrin is my choice for the VIII/IX, but Amsoil is the runner up.

The Speed Element OMG filter is pretty popular, but my personal vote is also a Perrin filter.

Don't let the posts about the MAF sensor and oil scare you, just take a paper towel to it before install.

I was thinking of purchasing this one. It's an Injen/amsoil.

Which one do you get? The one on the box or the one next to the box?

I think the change to the A/F is minimal if you're going from one aftermarket filter to another IMO.

I'm looking to switch out of the ARC box as my brother just picked up an EVO and he want it as I'm planning on going with a T4 set-up. I still have my old HKS 4 inch mushroom laying around so I might use that for the time being until I find a decent 7-9 inch long 4 inch filter.
