400HP goal with E85, what other parts am i missing??
Im gonna get my car tuned in the next few weeks. My goal is 400whp on E85.
My mod list:
ETS 3" intercooler
Megan manifold.
Injen LICP, UICP, Intake
Synapse Diverter/bov
Buschur 3" Downpipe
Works Test Pipe
Greddy TI-C 3" catback.
Aluminum Radiator.
Walbro255 modded(will install next week)
Cosworth 272 M2(will install soon)
RC 1200cc Injectors (will install before tune)
DME o2 housing(will install soon)
Stock Evo9 turbo. Stock wastegate.
I called the tuner and they said i dont need a boost controller or any gauges.
they will tune for 93 pump first and then E85, i will have dual maps.
Is there anything else i need that will be a big benefit to achieve that 400 mark?
I do want a safe tune to make the turbo last some time.

The ECU has an error correcting boost controller already. But dont know if your MAP sensor can handle the boost you'll end up using, so the tuner will probably tune off of engine load. Check to see what you have. New MAP sensor online will be about 100 bones.

Evo X 3-bar map sensor, your choice of 3-port boost controller. You want the map sensor so the ECU can tell directly how much boost is being made, and the 3-port for better boost control The OEM boost control is a bleed off system which slows down spool and limits top end boost. The 3-port will perform much better. Also i didnt see a clutch listed. The OEM clutch wont last long at all at 400hp. Also dump the megan manifold, a ported OEM has shown to perform better then almost anything else.

I would do both the 3-bar map sensor and the 3-port boost controller. All other countries got the 3-bar except the US evo 8/9. The Evo x comes with one though so you can easily source it. Without this the tuner will have to tune boost based on load, which for many reasons isn't ideal. With the 3-bar map sensor the ecu will be able to read barometric pressure and can be tuned control boost pressure directly, not guessing it based on calculated load. The 3-port boost controller will have a drastic improvement in spool, and hold more boost on the top end.

cool, so ill look for a evo x 3 bar map and probably grimmspeed 3 port boost controller.
Great!
