parasitic battery drain
I went out to start my car after work and it didn't start. I had to jump start it. I didn't leave anything on. Got the 2005 SSL back home. Broke out the multi meter, disconnected the negative and checked the draw with the key out of the car and i was reading 3.55 amps DC! WTF. I pulled all the fuses and relays from under the hood and under the drivers side dash. Still 3.55. Disconnected the starter, alternator, alarm, stereo, turbo timer, defi gauges and clips under the drivers side foot well. Still 3.55. I pulled off the positive terminal and got 0, cool. Took apart the terminal's 4 main wire bundles and every time any one of them touches the positive terminal of the battery, 3.55 amps DC... I even checked to see if any of the positive wires were going to chassis ground, but nope, they are good. I am going to try a different meter tomorrow just to be sure. I'm stumped. What else can I check?
