Question about Knock Sensor
I got a Evo 9 MR, and since I went to speed density, my knock sensor always blinks (About 8-9 times) at -0.04 hkph without fail, it never did this when the car was stock. I guess my question is, could the sensor be going bad? It threw a code in EvoScan saying it's the knock sensor circuit, so I'm assuming it just needs to be replaced, but could there be other factors?

are you talking about the Check engine light blinking? If so it never did that stock because it doesn't have the ability to do that stock. Thats a special feature of the tephra roms that flashes the cel on knock.

Yeah, the check engine light blinks about 8-9 times. It was working as intended before, and now it isn't. Been looking at other threads on this issue, but haven't seen my exact issue yet. So since this is a tephra feature, is there a way to fix it so that it works properly?

I don't really understand what you are asking. Do you just want to turn the feature off, or are you saying its flashing but you arent actually seeing any knock counts in your logs?

I'm trying to figure out why it's doing this or look where I can start. The RPMs and speed isn't always consistent, but on my Turbo Timer, when it reads "-0.04" and above, it blinks 8-9 times. I'll look at Evoscan today when I get a chance and see if I can see anything, but I'm a noob at this. Thanks for the replies!
