EVO Valve Cover Baffles - After Sandblasting
So another good ole baffle removal from our valve covers. I just took mine off today, got the OEM rivets off and took out the baffles, and there no surprise how much build up was inside.
I am not sure if anyone has installed rivets instead of tapping new threads and using allen or button type fasteners, but I tested the rivets in the holes and they hold very tight, even after drilling them out, the base of the rivet did not loosen. I will be using rivets and posting up pictures and updating the thread. The cover will be complete tomorrow, just have to clean the cover tomorrow and baffles.

That is a very good idea you mentioned, I riveted the holes last night, but the allens would also be a good idea.. hmm, they're easy to get out, maybe I will go with allens. I am curious if rivets are more reliable then a bolt?
Maybe someone can chime in.

Rivets I believe are a good choice too. I would want some engineering behind a lot of it to know if a bolt it is better the valve cover is done and red locktight around each rivets, I even tested taking rivets out and it was very snug in its corresponding hole.
