just be super happy with your evo, for under 30k, NOTHING beats it... not even the MR.

oh, the MR does beat the evo in certain respects, although it's more than $30K.

The Lotus Elise is in fact sold out completely for at least 18 months, probably more. It'll have a 190hp Toyo engine and 6sp, comes with A/C std and a few power items, but still weighs less than 2K lbs. It really is the best sportscar on the planet, IMHO.
I love AWD cars, but I'm a purist and still prefer RWD in many situations. The US Elise w/sport pack is very similar in setup to the UK Exige and it will lap a track pretty much as fast the UK MR Evo. I've just always learned to drive in RWD, I'm not saying its better just different and is my preference on the track.
That said, I did take my highly modified A4 Quattro to the track a few times and it did very well. But, its no 911 or Evo.
I can't wait to get more accustomed to the Evo. So far, I love it. A great change of pace for me. I'm fortunate enough to have a car crazy wife, so we simply live cheap in order to drive nice cars. Its our passion, so we don't mind spending money on them.
I'm stoked. This is an amazing car for $24K.

PS- Nothing personal, but I *hate* Supra's with a passion. But they are sick fast....
