Paint Fading on my Hood Vent

My hood vent is slowly returning back to it's natural state without any paint. Anyone elses fading? Whats a good paint that wont fade? I was thinking a high temp engine paint.

Take that POS out. I removed mine the day I brought the car home.

I do like the aluminum Ralliart vent. Too much money though.

took mine off too, fading not an issue. I like the Black though for my Red Evo, it goes good with the tires and dark tint I have. (when it's in)

For those that have removed their vents, what do you do when:
1) it rains like cats and dogs while driving
2) you don't have the luxury of having a garagde at home

I fear that all the electrical goodies inside the engine will protest rather loudly?

Well I have fading too.
Thinking of just removing the rest of the paint so it matches 100%.

Heres mine with some fade action..

I take my vent and since I have the stock intake box, it wont matter if it rains. It doesn't go into the right side of the engine bay, the intake box blocks it all

I painted mine black with DuPont Imron, it's been a year and a half and no fading. The factory coating is a royal pain in the *** to remove. I finally found some aviation stripper that took it off, but nothing else would touch it.
