great write up everything worked well mostly for me, im a tard and somewhere along the line i only made it work like...1/2 way. it opens all the way up if i hold it. It closes but i have to push it like 20 times and wont just lift up. I guess that beats not working at all heh.

Funny thing is, this exact thing just happened to me. Sunroof went out a month ago and I had nothing but cloudy days here so I didn't care too much. Of course the last couple weeks of summer its been sunny as hell. I went to take the headliner off and those same 2 screws came out (the 2 outter most ones). The middle one was secured perfectly, kind of makes me think it was intentional maybe? A way for mitsu to get money or something?

Either way phenomenal write up, much appreciated because I was biting my nails prior to searching for your write up when I was just trying to figure it out as I go. Some things were self explanatory but once I got to the front portion to those damn clips I thought I was border line S.O.L.

Thanks again!

Thanks so much for the writeup!!! Saved me this morning. I was able to fix it in about a hour. It sounded like crunching metal! I only had one screw holding the motor in also lol

My sunroof broke yesterday.
Found these instructions started on it this morning at 11am, finished at 11:45.
I only found 1 screw dropped and 2 were loose.
You only have to unclip the rear half of the liner.

I will also confirm that the initialization instructions work perfectly.

Picture of what exactly?

I used this guide to take apart mine but I drive an 04 Ralliart Lancer.

I was able to fix it, long story but it was not what everyone else is experiencing. In either case, I still have the top completely off and can take pics if it's the same.
