I have Non HID Foglight headlights and want JDM MR

Ok i have the NON HID headlights and do not have the foglight in my EVO 8. I want to get a HID conversion online and the JDM MR headlights. How hard is it going to be for me to wire in the foglights and locate a factory switch and all that? Is there a easier way for me to get fog lights in my headlights? any other options at all.

Thanks

Wrong! In 05 the RS and GSRs did not have all of the connections in the fuse block for the relay and fuse. You will need to fabricate everything. I have created a walk thru on what needs to be done:

Is the IXs the same deal? Does everything have to be fabricated?

What type of aftermarket fog kit do you plan to buy? Is there an aftermarket fog kit that is identical to the OEM foglight setup within the headlight housing?

Im just going to buy a cheap-o H11 fog kit off ebay, use the wiring harness it comes with, and plug them into the H11 bulbs (what the MR/SSL fog lights use), the route the harness to the cabin and use some cheap-o switch. Its just 2 bulbs to light up, all you need is the proper power cords, a relay, and a swtich

IIRC, the there is no real way to use the OEM fogs without a custom harness unless you switch over the entire engine harness

O.K., here is the deal, you will also need a front ecu from an evo that has foglights, in addition to the switches and what not.
also, authentic JDM headlights use H7 bulbs, not H11.
the standard switch for the foglight in an evo is not a normal switch, it sends a signal to the front ecu to turn on the fogs.
easier to run a separate harness, switch, and wiring IMHO.
