Trans Fluid oil sub

You could sub Marvel Mistery Oil as the Lubricant. There is a formula on the bottle of how many ounces to mix per gallon of gas. This is some great stuff I have used it for years for my fuel tanks in all my other vehicles, used it to lubricate the inside of my air tools, it also acts as a fuel stabilizer for storage. I buy it by the gallon.

There was a big deal about this on a different forum and I found a guy that found goverment test reports on this. Also I had done some testing on this. I run E85 in my 1995 jeep cherokee for months now and have not had any rubber wear. I have checked my lines about every 6k miles and i drive about 2k a month. Before I had done that I had let rubber line set in E85 for about 2 months and nothing happened to them. The biggest down side to e85/ethanol is that you wont get very good gas milage... about 20-30% less.

I'm going to try this....If Toluene is 2.50 a gallon and i can end up with higher octane for less money since gas is more than 3 bucks a gallon...this is going to be a win win situation...good info.

for example put 9 gallons of 91 and 1 of Toluene, and you should end up with i bit more than 93. simple math [(9x91)+(1x114)]/10=93.3
But anyways if you guys find Toluene for cheap let me know because i only found it for 16 bucks a gallon at sherwin williams...I'm going to end up using meth injection anyways...

Open up a contractor account.
5 gallons was gonna cost me 70 bucks. but the dude gave me the chinese discount and I got it for 38 bucks. Still kind of expensive but not as bad as 70.

I'm still reading up on Toluene and Xylene and one of the issues is that it changes the way that 02 sensors read. So you may have to recalibrate them.

So I'm wondering what that does to closed loop tuning. I have a 5 gallon drum and am thinking of dumping a gallon or two in.

I mix 3/4g of xylene with a tank of 93 just short of full.
There is undoubtedly a difference, especially on high boost in the higher gears - it just seems to never run out of steam...

What do you mean by that? "run out of steam" ?
And are you logging?

If you can get toluene cheap, that's great, and you can easily run about 20%, but the 114 octane number you find on all the web sites is meaningless. That number is a "Project 45" blending octane number, derived under conditions that have no relationship to today's world. See Bruce Hamilton's GAS FAQ http://www.faqs.org/faqs/autos/gasoline-faq.

Toluene is about 100 octane when blended with modern pump gas.

I'm a chemist, trust me on this one!

I have used toulene for the past 6 years or so to make my own gas. I always went under the assumption it was 114. So 50/50 blend on 93 would 103 or so. But are you making the statement that toul. is 100 octane? and btw i have run a 50% tol. to pump ratio for over 15,000 miles with no problem. I had a race gas tune on my daily driver s4.

Yes, it's really about 100. If you have California gas, which tends to be lower in aromatics to begin with, you might figure it at 102. Typical gasoline is 20-30% aromatics, with toluene being the most common. Ever smell Sunoco GT100? I'd swear it's half toluene. At one time some F1 teams ran around 85% toluene.

What you shouldn't do is get tuned to the limit on real GT100 then try to fake it by mixing toluene and pump gas.

How does alternative fuels affect the reading of AFR's by your oxygen sensor?
I hear using considerable amounts will change the AFR readings.

Even MTBE slides your AFR off.
