Exhaust Manifold Stud Replacement

One of my Stud's snapped, so i decided to replace them all with ARP Stainless Studs and washers. But if i ever decide to do this again, i will definitely buy "titanium" studs instead.

For a "smooth" install have two taps ready to re-tap the threads when you pull out your old studs, as this will make it very easy. Otherwise the old threads could have a little dirt/corrosion in them or leftover material making it a real pita to put in the new ones.

Taps Needed || M8 and M10

Exhaust manifold nut M8 29 ± 3 (21 ± 2 ft-lb)
Exhaust manifold nut M10 49 ± 5 (36 ± 3 ft-lb)

Note* If you're removing any parts, be ready with new gaskets.

_____________
Broken Studs |||
---------------------

#1 If you have enough thread, just lock two nuts against each other, and that should make it easy.

#2 if you don't have enough thread, stop by a shop, and have them weld on a bolt and then should come out no problem. [I removed mine this way and took few minutes, very quick and easy]

#3 Drill and re-tap. Biggest pain in the *** but at least its an option

Just thought i'd do a little writeup as i've seen information scattered. Also did mine yesterday and thought i'd chime in.

I used a stud installer which made things super easy. Not that the double nut method doesn't work.
