**HELP** Program Evo IX key!

So I'm got a spare key made because my dad lost my spare key. I talked to Stohlman Mitsubishi my local dealer and ask how much it was to get a key cut they said 60 Dollars but to program it would be 1 hours labor and that would be 108 dollars and would have to go through the shop. I only have one main key and a new cut spare. Anyone know how to program a key? Please help ASAP!

PS sorry mods if this is a double post or thread!

1. Put key in, off position.
2. Ground pin 1, just to the chasis.
3. Press hazard button 6 times, doors lock/unlock.
4. Press lock button once....pause....then press 2 more times.

the immobilizer can be bypassed and wouldnt require the chip although. enabling a kill switch such as using valet mode is a good idea. But if you had the 2 original keys you can reprogram the 3rd key on your own.

already solved the key has to be done at the dealer as you need the MUT-III scanner to do it.

The only way I know is to have programed by dealer. You can bypass Immobilizer with plain key but only have 3 cranks and Immobilizer shuts down again. You hace a code on a sticker usually in glovebox area and must call Mitsubishi with code and proof of ownership and they give you a temporay code for this to work.Chipped key must be programmed with MUT-III.
