Just did mine today. Thanks for the awesome write up. My only complaint was that all of the #6689 bolts were far longer than needed. If i were to do it again i would order 20mm long bolts. Also i wish i would have gotten two larger bolts and washers to replace the 14mm bolts on the center of the upper strut bar.

Yea, the strut bar I was a bit weary about and I didn't bother with it.

The 25mm bolts are definitely plenty long for most of the application, but since they're not in danger of rubbing on anything underneath I didn't worry about shortening them up. I believe all of the 25mm bolts would be fine with 20mm bolts in their place

I did, it's on the first page

adding a bunch of part numbers to a shopping cart doesn't require much effort, and it's not worth my time to order these, keep them on stock, and then pay shipping to get them to people (nor do I want to do that unless I'm getting at least 2x mark-up, in which case no one would order from me anyways)

I recently picked up one of these kits with aluminum washers and the quality is pretty good:

Oh nice - those are pretty good looking

yea, i'd love to find just finishing washers that are like that, but i haven't been able to (and haven't really looked) yet. the ones from bolt depot work fine, but I like the more "robust" look and the squared-off look of something like that sickspeed/pwjdm kit

I suggest you refrain from replacing any grounding bolts. SS does not have the same conductivity and will cause issues. I have torn apart fully tucked show car with starting issues, only to find out that he replaced the bolts with SS at whatever show.

That's the main reason I didn't replace the bolt directly in front of the fusebox; wasn't sure on the electrical properties of stainless steel

I was installing these late last night then got yelled at by the wife. Pictures to come! Love this simple DIY mod. Definitely nice mod to get rid of those ugly rusting bolts!

I thought I had a good before pic but I guess not. Here is the updated pic with the DIY bolts. Not all are in yet. I changed over the more appearing ones. I missed liked 4-6 that I'd like changed out.

I wish I kept some of the washers stainless instead of switching them to blue! I guess I'll have to pass by ACE!
