TLDW; (too lazy, didn't watch)
Brakes and Tires - Spend the money on good high temp brake fluid and good racing brake pads especially if you are doing a lapping day/TT/HPDE.
Under the hood must dos: 1) Battery tie down. 2) No leaking fluids 3) Positive battery terminal covered
Interior: Remove all loose items, including floor mats!
Safety: Have an Snell SA rated helmet. (Hans device recommended for big track)
Suspension: No modifications necessary, just needs to be in good operating order.
Cool Down laps: Use them!
First time out, take it slow. Auto-x, walk the course if you can and/or take a ride with another driver if allowed.

Good video, I really enjoyed it took me forever to start autocross. When I got my VIII I really didn't know or what to focus. Really now direction. I think every evo owner should give autocrossing a shot. Modifying right out the box was perhaps the worst choice ever did to it, starting with coilovers. I really wish I started with it stock.
