Questions on crushing Stock IX BOV
Hey everyone i was planning on crushing my stock BOV as a temporary until my Synapse arrives (holiday shipping ) but anyways, is there a certain way it should be done? I was going to use a c-clamp and tighten it until the top part was slightly dented in. When doing a boost leak test, i found that my stock BOV is blowing open at 26 psi when i'm tuned at 29... The only thing that worries me is possibly over-crushing it and having it stick shut and ruining my turbo.. I tried searching for an exact how-to but couldn't find anything so i figure i'd ask.
Thanks in advance!!

I've slightly crushed my stock bov and it holds 32psi on a boost leak test fine. I've had it on my fp red for a few months and it makes 28-29psi regularly. I prefer the stock bov on stock frame turbos because it opens/closes much quicker then other valves. No compressor surge on the stock turbo or red.

Did you crush it the same amount as the pic above?
