Fog Lights

I entered this on the Electrical/Audio/Security forums as well but lets try here as well.

Alright everyone I have a 2005 Evo 8. I have a question about doing the fog lights on these. First one I've owned and haven't had it for very long. I was just wondering if there are any like easy ways to do the fog lights or really just how to go about getting fog lights hooked up in these if you even can. I've noticed that both headlights seem to have what looks like 3 spots for lights. 2 of those being taken up by the low beams and high beams, so is the other spot for the fog lights? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

From what I've looked into, it's kind of a pain. I'm not certain, but you may need a new headlight housing (MR or SE) as those came stock with the fogs you're talking about.

I picked up the headlight switch for the dash as I wanted to see if this was possible, but just the wiring is a huge hassle. I know they have a thread here on how exactly to wire them up, but I stopped searching after seeing the thread.

I'm in a similar situation, but I have someone who's willing to trade me headlights and swap wiring harness'. I just can't find a write up for how to take it out

Can someone point me in the right direction.

It's a bit of a pain, but I did a write up on installing some aftermarket projectors in place of these. They've held up great and I have no issues whatsoever. In the end I spent about 70 bucks compared to the 1200-1600 asking price for MR/JDM housings.

Hmm that looks nice! Did you also change out the low-beams for an HID projector housing?

That I did, at a later time when I reverted my paint on the lense to the reflector for the JDM look.
