Cams/acc. from GSC, Brian Crower, Buschur, Cosworth, FP, and Kelford at Mellon Tuning

These are only some of the products we have at Mellon Racing... come check us out at: Mellonracing.com

Mellon Racing got a great deal on some cams from GSC and we're passing that along to you so get it while it's hot

click here for our full line cylinder head related parts http://www.mellonracing.com/index.ph...baded254ff269d

The S1 cams are designed for those with the stock turbo up to the GT30, 50Trim/Green, Red, Black, BBK. These cams will not sacrifice any bottom end loss over stock cams; nothing but gains and will promote faster spooling of the upgraded turbos. Gains of 30-55whp (depending on Turbo) have been seen by simply bolting the S1 cams in. Designed for a rev range of 3000-8000rpms, these cams work well on the stock valve springs. 300-450whp camshaft. Idle is slightly rougher than stock. S1 Specs (part # gsc-6008S1) Intake 268 Duration 10.50mm peak lift, 107 degree Centerline Exhaust 266 Duration 10.50mm Peak Lift, 113 degree Centerline.

The S2 cams are designed for those with a GT35R-GT4067 Turbo. No low end power is lost vs the stock cams when used with the larger turbo. The S2 cams will show gains of 50-70whp over the stock cams and in some cases more in the higher RPMS. Great for 2.0L engines revving to 9000rpms or for Stroker motors revving to 8000rpms. The S2 Cams require upgraded valve springs (check out GSC's Chro-Molly Retainers and single valve spring kit for a perfect upgrade to your valve train). Designed for a rev range of 4000-9000 RPMS(2.0L or 3000-8000 2.2L+), 500-700whp applications. GSC doesn't suggest running these on smaller stock appearing turbo setups but we've seen gains everywhere over the S1 with these on our customers cars with our tuning

The S3 cams are even more aggressive The S3 Cams are a Hydraulic Lifter Cam for the Evo 4-8 4G63. These cams are designed for 700whp+ to take advantage of a very large turbo with a lot of flow capability!

S3 Specs:

Duration @ 1mm Peak Lift CenterLine
Intake 280 238 11.50mm 108
Exhaust 280 238 11.50mm 116

Brian Crower Camshafts (Evo VIII)

The Lancer Evolution or "Evo" is Mitsubishi's flagship sports car. Based only on the unibody of the domesticated Lancer sedan the Evo is a rally inspired, turbocharged, all wheel drive, durable and finely tuned automobile. The number designation of the model is most commonly a roman numeral. Evolution models prior to version V were the officially approved models for Mitsubishi's efforts in the World Rally Championship's Group A class and SCCA Pro Rally Championship. In order to follow these rules, the Evolution is based on the same platform as the Lancer, but is much more powerful and the only major part in common between the Evo and the Lancer is the unibody. Nine street versions of the Evolution have been produced from 1993 up to today. Evolution versions VI, VII, VIII and IX did not need to meet WRC homologation requirements. The Evo was originally intended only for Japanese markets but demand on the 'grey import' market led the Evolution series to be offered through limited type-approval in the United Kingdom and in various European markets from around 1998 (Evo V-VI). Mitsubishi decided to export the eighth generation Evolution to the United States in 2003. The Lancer Evolution VIII is the first Evolution to come to the United States. These cams are not interchangeable with the traditional 4G63 found in the US based Eclipse and earlier Evo models.

Brian Crower Camshafts (Evo IX MIVEC)

First introduced in Japan in the Spring of 2005, the Mitsubishi Evolution IX features the venerable 4G63 2.0L but with the new MIVEC technology (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing-and-lift Electronic Control) which features variable valve timing on the intake cam. The USDM Evo IX is available in three different models, the RS, SE, MR which feature subtle differences. The RS excludes options standard on the SE and MR like power windows and locks, rear wiper, rear spoiler, trunk interior and trunk insulation which saves about 60 lbs for better handling characteristics by the RS chassis. The MR retains the features of the Evo VIII like Bilstein shocks, 6 speed manual transmission, BBS forged wheels, HID xenon headlights, accessory gauge package, special badging and an aluminum roof. All models sport Recaro bucket seats, Brembo brakes, and Momo steering wheel.

Buschur Racing BF272 Custom Camshafts EVO 8

Just released.... The ultimate in EVO camshafts. This new custom grind from Buschur Racing has proven itself to make the most power of any camshaft we have tested to date in the EVO. We've had these cams custom ground and are glad we can offer them at a reasonable price to our customers.

These camshafts are recommend for GT30 series turbos or larger and will require a spring and retainer kit to support them. (sold seperately)

PLEASE NOTE: We really do not recommend to use these cams with the stock shortblock for your added safety. Its possible that the valves could hit the pistons. It all depends on your valve spring combination and RPM.

Forced Performance 4R Evo 8 Cams

Designed around factory valvetrain and piston clearance limitations.
Increase in mid and upper RPM power.
Can be used with factory valve springs and retainers to 8K rev limit,
but FP beehive
spring kit recommended.
Can be used with factory pistons.
Somewhat lumpy idle.
Recommend increasing idle RPM to ~1000RPM.

Forced Performance 4R Evo 9 Cams

The FP4R camshafts are ground on only the highest quality blanks with generous radius for the oil grooves for max strength and durability. There have been ZERO failures of the FP4R EVO9 MIVEC camshaft. To date, 4/27/10, ZERO FP EVO9 camshafts have broken.

The FP4R grinds for the EVO9 are designed around the factory valvetrain and piston clearance limitations and have .440" lift. This means that this grind is completely compatible with the stock engine with stock retainers, guides, seals, valves etc and can be dropped into an otherwise stock engine with great results. The grind can be safely operated beyond the stock redline to 8krpm with the stock springs in place, and operated to 9krpm with the recommended FP Beehive springs. This grind gives good clearance with the factory EVO9 pistons at all locations of MIVEC advance or retard. There is a slight decrease in idle vacuum, and a slight increase in idle RPM may be required but good idle below 1000rpm is typical.

ARP Cylinder Head Studs Evo 7/8/9

A must-have for any motor seeing over 20 psi! These ARP head studs won't stretch like the stock bolts and will dramatically decrease the chanced of head gasket failure.

ARP uses a premium grade 8740 alloy that is rated far superior to "aircraft" quality. Then, each stud is placed vertically in special racks and precisely heat-treated to 190,000 psi. This procedure ensures complete heat penetration and the results are far superior to those lesser quality studs from other manufacturers who just dump pieces in a basket and hope for the best.

GSC Beehive Single Valve Spring Stage 1 EVO 8/9

GSC Power-Division Beehive springs feature some of the most impressive manufacturing techniques in the industry. Our beehive spring uses an ovate wire which utilizes advanced material heat treatment methods for superior load loss capabilities. What this means to you is our spring has the highest level of spring load retention while still maintaining good fatigue threw out the life of the spring.

The retainer side of the valve spring has a smaller diameter to greatly reduce coil spring surging and improve valve control even at extreme rpm levels.

Only the best materials go into the GSC Power-Division Beehive valve spring. Each batch is scrutinized for tensile strength properties, ductility, inclusion content, and fatigue toughness. Each new design is tested to 9,000RPMS so you can rest assure that you have the best possible valve spring set available on the market. The GSC Beehive spring is a factory replacement and will use your stock OEM retainer and Valve Seat to ensure an easy install.
