So, maybe your head is already ported. How about manifolds or turbo's? We do those as well

Why not free up some of that horsepower laying around inside that turbo or manifold.

Contrary to what some people think, Not everyone can just grab a grinder and produce a better flowing part. It's not just about making something bigger. And no one around here can port/polish like we can.

I'm a little leary about porting / polishing for my HP targets on my Evo 8 head. However I would like to do something like extrude hone the stock exhaust manifold.
Any suggestions / experiences / ideas about the exit ports etc.?
Thanks,
~j.

What are your horsepower targets? We offer three stages of porting for heads and I'm sure we have one that will benefit what you want to achieve. We actually do A LOT of Porting/Polishing for Evo heads. It's a great way to pick up some big power. Our stage 3+ cylinder head (custom stage) picked up 80whp on our shop road race Evo. The regular stages will still pick up some easy power without the cost of our custom head though.

As far as extrude honing the exhaust manifold, the two problems with that are 1. it usually is a little on the expensive side unless you have found a great deal somewhere. and 2. extrude honing won't really gain much more airflow. This is because extrude honing is more of an abrasive that gets forced through the manifold to remove the rough texture and any divets or casting flaws. So it only increases the amount of airflow slightly. For the same price, if not cheaper, we could port and polish that same exhaust manifold and it will net better results then extrude honing it. I experienced this first hand about 5 years ago on one of my vehicles where I first bought an extrude honed stock manifold (it helped) but then got better results by going in and opening it up through P&P.

If you want, you could PM me and we can discuss what your goals are, what would work best, and what we could do to help you along. I've been professionally porting since Jan. 2008 and have done plenty of heads, turbos, manifolds etc.
