Door Trim

Need some advice from the gurus

The dealer decided to "wash and wax" my car when I stopped by getting a new radiator surge tank cap put on (mine cracked). In the process they managed to stain the door trim around the windows with a faint white residue that will not come off with washing. Since this seems plastic, what should I do to remove it? Or am I screwed?

I would have them replace the parts they screwed up. Especially if it wasn't your dicision for them to "wax" it. You may want to try a little goo gone.

I agree with the goo gone. I would also recommend goof off. Just make sure you get the water based version. There are 2 types and the other one may be too harsh. Some dick ran spray paint across the back end of my A6 and the water based goof off took it right off with no harm to the clear coat.

get some 3M adhesive remover. it is what i used to debadge both cars. safe for all surfaces. also u might try some Meguiar's concentrated car wash. put some on a towel & rub it in. that may work as well. brake clean shouldn't be used inside the car & unless u like driving high...
