Official Jdm Exhaust Fitment Thread

so heres where to buy an absolutely beautiful exhaust that fits the jdm bumper with NO modifications!!!!!! absolutely gorgeous and ballin as all hell. but most importantly in stock as of 4/11/08

ok because the fitment thread has grown to over 30 some pages all goo'd up with one liners and meaningless banter. i am going to compile as much of it as i can in one sitting. this is a work in progress so check back often.

ALL DONE AS OF 2/21/2008 33 PAGES COMPILED TO ONE. (amazing how much space one-liners consume)

IF YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THIS POST BY ADDING INFO THAT IS NOT ALREADY LISTED THAT'S GREAT.

PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR PICTURES OF THINGS THAT ARE NOT POSTED BECAUSE.... JUST BECAUSE DONT DO IT.

HERE IS THE BEST DIY / HOW TO INSTALL, PICTURES ON PAGE 5
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...light=jdm+rear
AND YES YOUR O2/DOWN-PIPE/CAT OR TEST PIPE WILL HAVE A SLIGHT AFFECT ON THE FINAL FITMENT. this is just to get a really good reference point for what works. what kinda works and what really doesn't.

THEESE FIT WITH NO MODIFICATIONS:

THEESE DO NOT FIT WITH OUT CUTTING AND/OR WELDING OF SOME SORT

THEESE DO NOT FIT WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS:

it is very simple to mod a usdm exhaust to fit a jdm bumper. it usually cost's between 10 & 50 dollars. If you have to ask for pictures on "how" or "where" to cut it, this is way to complicated for you. if you cant tell just by crawling under your car and looking, take it to a professional because odds are you cant weld. or SAFELY use a big saw to cut the tip (if applicable) this work can be handled by a decent muffler shop 99% of the time. UNLESS you have a FULL titanium exhaust or a very high grade SS and want it to be professionally TIG welded (not always available at your local muffler shop)

APEXI

GT SPEC-SOME SAY IT DOES NOT FIT:

Here is what I would do if I did it again based on what I know.

1. Install the JDM rear bumper and look at the fitment to see where it touches
2. Remove rear bumper and put crash beam on and than drive to exhaust shop
3. Remove crash beam and then put on the rear bumper when exhaust has cooled down
4. Any good exhaust shop will cut and re-align the exhaust with anchors for $60-70 ( this should take less than 30min)

I would suggest this since some people with same exhaust may have different Downpipes and highflow cats so the exhaust alignment is still slighty different.
I saw this with two other people that had the HKS exhaust with JDM rearbumper.

my personal, UN-BIASED RECOMMENDATION on where to buy a jdm rear or a exhaust that is in list of confirmed fitments.

DRIVELINE MOTORING ---- ask for erik ( # (818) 886-DRIV )

GRUPPE S / DYNAMIC AUTO SPORT ( or whatever there name is these days)

INVISION

all great vendors, with the best pricing hands down. period.
