My new RE30's and a little wheel weight comparison
Updated with new pics!
I recently sold my SF winnings to another evom member and picked up these brand new RE30's in Formula Silver from Driveline Motoring. (which btw is a really nice place and Eric is the man!)
Here's a small pic of the wheels...forgive the horrible lighting, a new photoshoot will be on its way soon.
And for a little weight comparison....
I took my bathroom scale and weighed my SF winnings, stock BBS MR wheels and the new RE30s. Both sets of volks were mounted with 245/40/18 Falken RT 615's in very new conidition and the BBS had the oem advan A046's.
stock bbs with tires weighed in at 42.4 lbs per corner
volk sf winnings 18x9 @ 34 offset with tires weighed in at 49.4 lbs per corner
volk re30 18x9 @ 35 offset with tires weighed in at 43.8 lbs per corner
Now given that the bathroom scale is not a precise measuring tool, all wheels were weighed on the same scale back to back. Even if the number might vary from other scales, this comparison is accurate in its comparable weight difference.
Just thought I would share....

I'll do a better photoshoot soon!
yea the stock bbs are nice and light too
but with the 1 inch bigger diameter and wider overall width, plus running 245's, plus looking better imo than the bbs, 1.4 lbs per corner is well worth it
