sorry, all FX-R's have the availability of LHD (or RHD) was more what I meant. They haven't ever had a revision of them that I know of that wasn't available with a LHD cutoff shield

bumping this seriously old thread.

I just bought a set of jdm hid headlights for my evo ix

I need to swap projectors because I don't want a jdm projector to be used in america

Has anyone done anything similar to this with the newer stuff available? I plan on doing a rebuild of these lights from head to toe

I have to say they look very stealth and impressive. How hard were these to mount? I was surprised how incredibly easy the jdm lamps were to open.
Honestly, I am rather addicted to the idea of changing the setup in the high beam and fog light projector as well. The difficult part is that the high beam is very shallow, and the fog light is small. I plan on painting the trim grey to match the body. I will also be doing something with LEDs for the running light/parking light/signal setup. I have my heart set on 3D printing ABS mounts for LED PCB's inside (like I did with my custom tail lights I built)

Evil-Evo, did you do your own projector swap? I have everything apart, and I am looking at the HID projector adjuster motor. It snaps through the back and engages into the back of the bracket that the HID projector mounts too... I am not sure what is the best way to snap this off and I was looking for a photo or something that makes this clear...

I answered in the other thread but I'll say it here too for others. If you are referring to the ball-socket thing just pull it a bit and it should pop out, shouldn't take much.

I finally built up the courage and pulled a little more- you were right. I removed one by just giving it a tug. I was more scared than anything! Thank you.
