Post Poll - Brake Warping & Rotors

okay so this is the sister thread to the brakes/pads warping poll. I'm wondering if anyone with the warped/"warped" rotor problem has replaced their stock rotors and had the problem go away.. if so, what brand/type of aftermarket rotors did you buy?

^^ whu??? Man, my dealership told me my brakes were no longer under warranty (at the time I had 22K on my car). They said the warranty on "that item" ended at 12K....WTF? So that's very cool that they actually replaced yours for ya.

My stock front rotors were toast after only 7,000 miles. I replaced them with aftermarket slotted rotors (RMR) and no problems since. I've got 41k on the car now.

Yay!! Now that's what I was hoping to hear (well, sucks about your stock rotors). Looks like I may be getting myself some RMR slotted rotors. haha

And out of curiosity, did you go to aftermarket pads too when you changed the rotors?

Rotated wheels at 9K. After that, I noticed some wobbling under high speed braking. Had the dealer check them out. They slightly resurfaced them, and now they're fine. Still running stock rotors at 13K, but I'm sure they're going to warp again.

I get the brake shuddering if Im doing a lot of stop and go driving or touching my brakes on the highway too much in traffic at speed. All I do is go to an empty parking lot and beat the holy hell out of them a few times, get em nice and hot, and it goes away. "Warping" doesn't exist. Go to stoptech.com and read about it.

I wonder if over torquing (spl??) the wheel bolts played any part in the warping?
