Suspension options for SCCA STU class

I want to run SCCA STU class this season. As far as I can tell, this means no coilovers. My factory struts are either already blown, or not long for this world, and could give out mid-season anyway. What are some of my options for STU? So far here's what I have come up with:
- stock
- MR bilsteins
- Works/Ohlins single-adjustable strut/spring combo
- Custom retrofit aftermarket shocks into the factory strut bodies. I have no idea what spring and damping rates would be ideal for AutoX and daily driving. Input on this? I saw a guy selling some custom dual adjustable retrofit Konis, but wasn't ready to buy them from him. Any input on this?

*To make things even more difficult, this is my only car and I have a very limited budget for this season, so shipping my car off to a suspension guru for an extended period is not a practical option.

Do you have a quote of the actual STU rule you're trying to satisfy?

Thanks,

~j.

As mentioned in PMs, coilovers are allowed in STU.

I recommend you reading the big STU setup thread in the Motorsports forum for guidance.

Yeah, Warrtalon contacted me right after I posted this. I was thrown off by the category guide, I misunderstood it. Sorry, my mistake!
Oh and thanks for the link Warrtalon, I searched for "STU" in topics but it produced no results.

Just have to get used to the Advanced Search, I guess. When I do a search for threads that have STU in the topic, this is what I get:

Interesting. I used advanced search with "stu" lowercase (is search case-sensitive?), but only in the Evolution forums, and this is what I get now...

Just let it search in all forums - don't try to specify a sub-forum unless you're absolutely certain the information you want will only be in that forum. Or, choose a sub-forum if your initial search returns too many results.

No, it's not case-sensitive.
