Bridgstone Japan New Flagship Tyre RE11 (RE-01R replacement)

Not sure if this is a repost

Bridgestone Japan is going to be releasing the replacement for the RE-01R (that's been out for quite a few years now) - the RE11! Coming out in March this year!

It's been a while since the RE-01R's been out and it was starting to get overtaken by other newer tyres (eg Dunlop's Direzza Sport Z1 - not to mention the AD07 that's been out for a while too).

Only thing is that keep your eyes peeled for a RE11R in the near future!

I wonder the US is going to get this tyre since europe and australia got the RE001R adrenaline and Japan and the US didnt?

Someone on SCCA forums already contacted Bridgestone about ETA. Apparently the earliest we can expect this tire here in US is early 2009...

Neal just got back to me. Japan gets them March 1st, not us. Sorry for the misinformation.

Tread pattern looks great for even better dry grip.

I hope the sidewalls are as thick or thicker than the RE01R.

I'm going to guess the colored imagery is of either pressure or temperature. Regardless, the new tire is putting down a lot more traction based on the images.

I know you think that - but honestly, you'll probably be ready for another set of tires by the time these come out here
