Bushings, bushings, bushings......

Hey,

I was going to have Swift Spec-R springs installed on my '06 Evo IX SE along with the Whiteline roll center adj. kit and am wondering is it worth it to have some of the control/trailing arm and/or bumpsteer bushings done at the same time.

If so can I get any reccomendations on Whiteline vs Works vs Energy etc?

I'm having it done at Harman Motive in Torrance, CA and want to keep the labor down. I figure if there's more stuff that can be done at the same time as the spring install that will improve driveability and be better for the car I'll have 'em do it. Just trying to get things done to tighten her up in a way that makes the most sense.

Any and all input would be appreciated!

Do you auto-x or track your car? There are some bushings worth replacing if you're in there and this way you would only need 1 alignment if you do it now. I wouldn't say they are 100% required or "must haves" but you will definitely notice them. I'd call them "good to haves."

Bumpsteer kit, trailing arm bushings, front control arm bushings are my favorite, all from Whiteline.

I won't be tracking the car as far as I can tell, but as the mods increase - who knows.

I mostly plan on much 'spirited' driving on the street and I want to make that thing feel like it's on rails. I'm more into the handling aspect of driving more than horsepower (although that's great too) and want to improve it wherever and whenever I can.

How do the Works bushings compare to the Whiteline? I would think that urethane is urethane but I dunno.....

I kinda already bought the full Works bushing kit.........man this stuff gets expensive fast.

I thought the Works stuff was rebranded Whiteline or Superpro? I could be totally wrong. If you already got it don't worry about it....i'm sure it's fine.

Well, whichever the case might be the WORKS bushing kit was cheaper than buying Whiteline or Superpro by just a little bit.

Thanks again for the input Andrew.

Man, you are all over these boards! Do you ever get any sleep?
Keep up the good work

Yeah, the ES kit.

I already bought the WORKS kit. I was looking at the Whiteline stuff and then saw the Superpro pieces and the WORKS was a little less expensive. Honestly I didn't really look at the Energy bushings 'cause they were SO much cheaper I didn't think that they were made of the same material or had the same fit as the other brands.

Besides, red is my least favorite color.........
