Evo viii/ix brakes/steering wheel on a 1g?

So i have a 2006 evo 9 and a 91 gsx and got to doing some research and found a few interesting sites. Prob. old news but.... i saw that 2g's can run both the evo VIII/IX steering wheel and evo VIII/IX brakes with very little modification

My question is does anyone know anything or have pictures of a 1G with these modifications done? Is it possible? Here is the links to the websites i found.

I would assume the steering wheel is the same concept, cut and weld, but im more concerned about the brakes fitment.

Scroll Down for more pics

2G's use galant knuckles and the rear brakes are a direct fit (no mod. necessary)

Thanks!

I put 2g 2 piston front calipers and rotors on my 1g back in the day and they bolted right up with no modifications necessary. So I would think that if the Evo Brembos fit on a 2g they would fit on a 1g just as easily, for the fronts anyway, not sure about the rears.

Good luck with the project!

well for the 2g you have to change the knuckles and the galant knuckles dont line up with the tie rods... this is what i read...

Im considering just making adapters.
Is there any other brake upgrades i can do for my 91 GSX
Galant vr4 brakes?

How about upgrading to the factory dual piston brakes?
