Yokahama Neova/S.Drive

I am ready for a new set of high performance summer tires and currently have the Yokahama Advan AVS ES100. Was the replacement for them the S.Drive or the Neova? If the S.Drive, is the Neova worth the extra $50 per tire?

The A0x tires are well worth the extra money if you want the grip. Also check out the Dunlop Z1 Star Specs.

Per TireRack-

S Drives $122
Dunlop Z1s $139
B'stone RE01 $211
Advan A046 $301

The Z1s are my favorite tire, hands down. I AX and HPDE on them.

I just ordered my second set of Neova AD07's and it's safe to say I'm in love with them all around.

I think the big first question should always be: What are you going to use the car for?

Ask Nils about the ADO8s. Are they even out yet?

I'm already on my second set of ADO7s.

For grip, the Star SPecs are going to be superior. I had been putting a lot of miles on my car, so I chose the S.drive for mileage considerations. Tires aren't the grippiest, but they provide decent traction while allowing me to put on a ton of miles. Next time arround I will probably get the Dunlops, although the new Kumhos interest me. THey're about 2-3 pounds lighter a tire compared to the Neovas.

If you want something as good in the wet as the dry check out the Pilot Sport PS2's. Theyre also a little lighter than the Advans and a lot lighter than the Star Specs or RE01R's. For all out dry grip though I would get the Star Specs because you can't beat the price!
