Clunking front end noise??
Alright, I know the Evo is a noise ***** and I can almost accept that, but has anyone experiened a clunking in the front end?
The problem is with the suspension. It mostly happens when there is uneven pavement or a sharp bump. The noise is faint but definetly there and only on the right front.
I have been to two different dealerships and they both tell me that is normal with the Evo. However, when I went for a test drive in the second dealerships "demo" Evo, oddly enough the sound could not be duplicated.....
Anyone?

Yeah I get that every now and then....its LOUD. It sometimes happens if i come around a corner really on the throttle and hit a bump....Scares me, but doesnt seem to cause any damage....

I have the same noise, I noticed it the first day I drove my car home from the dealership and pulled in my driveway. First thing I thought was they left the shipping blocks in, (forgot to check before I left the dealer) but they did not. I do still hear the noise probably 1 out of 5 times I pull out of my driveway, (usually when the wheels are turned?) I always take it slow but its a bit of a bump. Interesting to hear others have the same noise, I wonder if its a cause for concern?

I had a similar noise, but it was due to the RMR downpipe hitting the RMR lower cross bar. I had to bend the cross bar to make it so it didnt hit when the enging was being flexed

Yeah, I wanted the dealer to replace the strut simply because there was nothing else left to check. They (the dealer)are supposed to be checking with corporate to see if there are any reports of the noise and what the possible cause is. With the holidays, I doubt I'll hear anything till next week.
