Yeah I'm fine with the rear right now I just need to clear the brakes in the front. The tires on them right now are 235 40 18. Just not sure really for the front if I should run 15mm or will a 10mm spacer be enough.

I'm 1" lowered in the front and .5 in the rear I was wondering if I can run 18x9.5 without any fender work?

That'll depend on the offset of the wheel as well as the tire you choose to run...

I'm planning to get some wheels for my EVO 9, the specs are 18x10.5 +19 all around. Not sure what tire I should run. Rear fender has been rolled and my car sit pretty low. I'm currently on 17x9 +15 all around with stretch tires 205/45/17 and it doesn't rub at all. Any suggestions or thoughts on what I need to do or will it work? I'm a little bit confused with the offset and tires needed

This is just my opinion. These no.s are well outside the acceptable offsets that work on a stock body EVO. Nobody properly runs a 10.5 wheel w/a +19 Cant be done effectively w/out serious rub, super stretch & out of spec camber

Also, running a 205 on a 9" wheel does not meet the min spec. Min spec is 235. No bueno sir.

Read this thread on the 10.5 & it will give you a better feel for the work & offset needed

Thank you so much for your thoughts and input. Sometime it's hard for me to understand offset and what is a good fitment for stock body Evo going with aggressive wheels. I kinda wanted to be more function and form since I daily the car. Do you have a suggestion or right specs with stock body and how aggressive wheels I can go. I do have coilover with front camber plate and stock rear camber. Any suggestion would help, I just don't have the time to go thru the whole thread to find the specs. I'm more show than go.

I suggest you go through these 2 threads to give you an idea of what some of the guys are running. Certainly not all the posts are of wheels that are of the proper spec to fit the stock body

Based on what you originally posted & depending on how much rear fender work you can stand, look for a wheel in this range:
18x9.5 / Offset range +25 to +35 / Tire choice 255/35 to 275/35

Unless you want to go the 17" route. Thats what I run

What offset on a 18x8.5 will clear the front calipers on an 04? I've read +30 but then other threads say that it may rub depending on the way the wheel spoke is designed. So what wheels that are 18x8.5 will clear the calipers without spacers needed?

There is no one specific offset that will clear the Brembos. It has mostly due to spoke design and the wheel area called the X-factor (caliper clearance zone)

Do a bit of research in these 2 threads & find something you like. If you have questions about a particular wheel / offset post up & we will help where we can

Ah man, this is gunna be alot harder than i thought. I dont want to order 4 wheels and then have them not fit on my car and then have to pay to ship them back, etc.

I was looking at MB Battles and STR 514's. Both 18x8.5 +30. I really want to keep the 8.5 so i can run 245's and get the most out of them. Not really looking for stance, just something better than these ugly 5Zigens.

Should I just call both companys and see if they can confirm if they will fit the hub and not hit caliper? Or do i literally have to test fit to see?

Ive read the other posts' and only found that the RPF-1's will fit with a 3mm caliper clearance (18x8.5 +30)

Totally understand. Fitting wheels is for sure an art & science. Some great wheels that fit over the calipers are your very spendy Volks / Advans. If youre looking for budget wheels many Rotas fit over the calipers

BTW, speaking of 5Zigens. Not sure which ones you have but the 17x9 +35 5Zigen FN01RC are great wheels that fit over calipers

Looking at Volk ce28n 17x9 the only available offsets are +40 and +63 for new wheels. Would either of these fit? would spacers be needed to make them fit?
