Advan RS

Currently researching wheels and have been browsing through this thread. I appologise if this has been answered elsewhere in the thread but I didn't see it while skimming through. Earlier (08-09) people were recommending the Advan RS 18x9 +29 with 255 35R18 tires on it for a drop in no rub fit. It seems these wheels aren't made anymore, and I am having trouble finding someone still selling them, in gunmetal at least. Will the Advan RS II in 18x9 +35 with a 255 35R18 work in a similar hands off fashion? I've seen previous posts saying the +25 would require a fender roll/pull, neither of which are things I want to do. Thanks for the help.

I'm having the same dilemma about the Advan RSII. Found this thread where a guy is using 18x9 +35 with 245/40 and no fender work.

Hey Minus - what are your thoughts on Gram Lights 57Trancends 18x9 +30 with 255/40 or 245/40 rubber? Can I get away without fender work based on the Advan fittings I mentioned above?

The +35 offset will work just fine running a 255/35 but depending on rear camber settings may be getting a bit close to the fender lip. A 3/4 rear roll may be needed

+25's will need a bit more work (i.e. roll, fender pull, bumper bolt relocation)

The +30, running the 255/40 will need a nice, tight rear roll. This is getting close to the pull zone so the tighter the roll the better. This is also getting close to the rear bumper bolt due to the 40 series tire. The 245 gets you out of needing the rear fender pull

If you were to run no more than -1.8 degrees of rear camber this may be doable w/out a pull. Any camber beyond -1.8 is getting into the ill handling area

Great thanks for the speedy response! I guess I'll bite the bullet and get some new tires with the wheels. Would a 35 series tires do the trick for avoiding fender work? Or is there no getting around it with a 18x9+30 wheel?

Still going to need the fender roll running a +30. I would stick w/the 40 series as it offers more street protection & certainly looks better

Ill do a search for you but I doubt many of us have run this. I run a few wheels, but one of them is the Rota P45R 17x9.5 +30 & fits over the Brembos w/out spacers

EDIT: Found it! See post no. 4 here:

Just an update for you. You can get away with a 12mm spacer on the front wheels. It is very close but does clear the brake. I will probably switch to the 15mm down the road. Figured i would let everyone else know if they were thinking of these wheels.

Thanks for the update for sure. Yes, that is close to what the link noted except he ran a 15mm
Post up your fitment pics after install

Hey guys. I'm looking to run 18x9 +45 TE37s with 255/35/18 tires. Does anyone know what size spacer I will need to make these work? Hopefully without much or any fender work. Thank you in advance!

You want a 10-15mm spacer on all 4 to make them at least look good as far as offset goes. I'm not sure what you will need for front caliper clearance.

It's also sitting on swift springs, if that makes a difference. Thanks again.

See above. You might need a fender roll if you go with a 15mm spacer. Shouldn't need any work if you go with a 10mm.

Not an EVO friendly offset. The +45 will need both front & rear spacers to make work. With no rear spacer, lower control arm clearance will be an issue

Ill do a search for you, but maybe difficult to find another user of this +45 wheel

EDIT: Found a non EVO thread on these wheels. At least can see what they look like. The problem w/these high offset wheels is that the spokes are flat w/no concaveness to them
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2357868

You can space all 4 wheels out but really not liking this due to the "way out of spec" offset, the flat spoke design & the spacer issue on all 4 corners
