Enkies RPF1 17x8.5 +40 off set fit with no problems
as Gramlights 57s 17x8.5+40 off set as well
you can run 235/45/17 with no issues
currently have 255/40/17's RA it barly clears the rear fenders w/ JIC's tune by John Mueller.
now just to be on the safe side both rear fenders are roll (enough clearance.)

rolled fender

non rolled fender

TSW thruxton wheels

I just bought some 18x8 TSW thruxton wheels. I am not sure of the offset that they gave me (bad move on my part), but they are riding too wide and hitting the fender on big bumps and fast turns. Just wanted to know if anyone knew the proper offset needed for these rims or if there is something that I can do (other than modifying the body with a fender roll). Someone suggested getting smaller tires might solve the problem, but if anyone has any suggestions it would be very appreciated.

peace

Question Motegi MR7 17x7

Neal,

Will the Motegi MR7 17x7s fit my Evo 8 MR? I have a set of these rims that I used on my old Pontiac Sunbird. I plan to use them for my winter wheels. If they do fit, can you recommend a good all season tire and size that I can use.

size: 17X7
offset: +40
bolt circle: 5x100 & 5x4.5
weight: 24.5 lbs.

Dosen't look like the bolt pattern is the same. EVO has a 5-114 and those wheels are 5-100. The Conti Extreme Contact would be the best all season performer. A fav of most EVO owners

Lightbulb

But it has 2 bolt patterns

1) 5x100
2) 5x4.5 ---> 4.5"=114mm ---> 5x114

Is the +40 offset ok?

Ahh didn't see the multi bolt pattern reference. Since I don't carry that brand, I really cant say for sure if its a good fit. The offset might be ok, but the center bore, lug seat, wheel style may all interfere with fitment. If you have the wheel and the EVO just bolt it up and see if it will work. I would still contact a Motegi dealer for best results.

In general, a 17x7 wheel with 40mm offset will have the outer edge of the rim sitting 14.7mm further inboard from the stock wheel.

There is nowhere near 14.7mm of extra clearance between the stock wheels and the front calipers. Unless the Motegi 17x7 wheels are a very unusual design, they will almost certainly not fit over the front calipers.

I believe they will. Talk to Gruppe-S.
Cal tried them on his car and he said they didn't look right and he took them off.
I was once interested in them but I talked to Cal.

Hello, Advan Kreuzer X in proper EVO fitment would be 18x8 5x114.3 +30mm offset. Or you can go with 18x9 5x114.3 +38mm offset as well.

ETA will be 4-6 weeks upon ordering.

Thanks

Cal

p.s Thanks Timzcat

18x9 w/ +35 offset will work. No need to roll fenders.

Tires are going to be Toyo RA1 235/40/17

we're thinking of Enkei RPF1 17x9 et35 (15.9 lbs)it ought to fit with the above tires with out fender rolling.

What do you guys think of the next size up RPF1 17x9.5 et38 (16.5 lbs) I'm thinking it should fit too. Weight difference is just 0.6 lbs and 1/2" width could be useful...

I saw that hardcore autox guy use 18x10 and 285 width tires. Does anybody know what offset they use? Thanks.

if you plan to run 235's RA1 on the RPF1
i would go with 17x8.5 +40off set , i have those and fit fine with no problems, ou can even upgrade to 255/40/17s RA1 later on (what i currently have )
