Rear Lower Control Arm - Clunk?

I circled the part thats having the issue...

So when i come to a stop or driving slowly...i get a clunk...and put my car on a lift and found that this part is loose...the nut/bolt is not loose...the bushing or whatever it is, is able to move around...

this is only on the driver side...

How would I go about fixing this? Whats the most cost effective way to repair this?
Are there bushings I can buy?

Please point me in the right direction!

Thanks!

would it be best if i replace all three bushings on the LCA if possible?
Is replacing the bushings with poly ones even an option?

That bush plus the one on the chassis end is a sealed spherical bearing so it is supposed to have some movement in it as in you can twist the arm, but it shouldn't be clunking around like moving fwd/aft, changing to a poly bush would be a downgrade.

You can get replacement bushes from mitsi.

For them not being able to find it is just laziness or incompetence.

Chassis side bush:

Wheel side bush:

Evo 6-9 use the same parts while evo4-5 have just a normal rubber bush on the chassis end.

Whiteline only offer one bush for that arm for the reason I listed above, the only bush they offer is the shock mount one.

is the rear lower control arm identified as another part name? on whiteline's site: what is the trailing arm?

is this part of the suspension also known as the 'rear trailing arm'?

The arms are these:
Trailing arm: the long one that runs fwd/aft and connects to the bottom of the knuckle (in your pic its the one on the bottom right)
Toe arm: that short arm that connects about halfway up fwd on the knuckle (in your pic its the one thats upper right)
Upper arm: the Y shaped arm thats on top
Lower arm: sits rear lower and has the shock attached to it.

Yogi B is correct.

You can purchase the outer bearing on the lower control arm from your dealership.
The spherical bearings are a normal wear and tear item... will go bad over time.
We have replaced few of these, and you shouldn't have any problem order this particular bearing on the arm from your local dealership.
Just need to press the old one out and press the new one in.

Thanks!
